Vision Implementation Case Study
Hitachi Credit America

Vision Commerce – A Results Oriented Provider

During the second quarter of 2002 Hitachi Credit America Corp. issued an RFQ to Front-end Solutions Providers. Vision Commerce was among those Providers asked to respond. Once the responses to the RFQ were analyzed, trips were scheduled to Greenwich, CT to demonstrate the various systems offered by the selected Providers. In June of 2002, Hitachi Credit America made their final selection and awarded the project to Vision Commerce. HCA had entrusted the smallest (by employee count) Provider with building a Front-end solution that would support its different business segments. Four months later, the project was code ready and installed. Training commenced immediately and HCA had a fully functional Front-end system suited to HCA’s business models and ready to handle fourth quarter business flow.

Laurie Lidstrom, Assistant Vice President of IT for Hitachi Credit America Corp. recently had this to say about Vision Commerce:

“The Vision Commerce team worked with us to understand our business and our requirements. They deployed an origination system that optimized our productivity and streamlined our workflow. We have already processed over 3,200 applications through the system since deployment. Approval time has been cut, application tracking has been improved and we are able to process twice the business without increasing staff.”

According to Steve Lundergan, President of Vision Commerce, “We always expect positive results for our clients. However, no productive relationship is a one-way street. The quantitative success of our Solutions is truly based on sound collaboration with a knowledgeable client. The staff at Hitachi is extremely savvy in the world of Information Technology. They were realistic about system requirements, timing and prioritization. The entire management team at HCA embraced the change for automating their front-end and they were focused on keeping our technology staff in constant, open communication with the right people at InfoLease and Liquid Credit for integrating the systems. We don’t just write a chunk of code, drop it in the client’s lap and hope it works. In my opinion, the success of the HCA project today and in the future is attributed to both companies.”
